What is the G.O.A.T Ultimate Lift Kit 2"/1.5"?

The G.O.A.T Offroad Ultimate Lift Kit 2"/1.5" lifts the 2022+ Ford Next Gen Ranger Raptor 2 inches at the front and 1.5 inches at the rear, with adjustable billet upper control arms and an HD clevis steering upgrade bundled under one part number. It makes room for 34–35 inch tyres, pulls the front-end geometry back into spec after the lift, and leaves the factory FOX 2.5" Live Valve internal bypass shocks working exactly as they were tuned.

The extra half-inch of rear lift is the whole point of this version. It keeps more rear height than our 2"/1" kit — built for Raptors carrying a canopy, drawers, a tub rack or a full touring load, so the truck sits level once the weight is in instead of squatting tail-down.

Designed, machined and assembled in-house at G.O.A.T Offroad, Ravenhall, Melbourne. Shipping worldwide, USA included.

What's in the box

2" Lift Front Strut Spacers

Machined from billet alloy and designed to keep the factory FOX Live Valve strut working inside its bypass zone. Stroke, spring rate and preload all stay 100% factory — the body simply rides 2" higher over an unchanged strut. That's the clearance a 35" tyre needs between tread and guard when the front end is fully compressed. Fitment requires strut disassembly.

Billet Upper Control Arms

6061 billet aluminium on 7/8" Heim joints, with caster and camber adjustment to bring the alignment back into spec at your lift height. More droop than the factory arm, and clearance for the steeper ball joint angle a lifted Raptor runs. Lift the front of a Next Gen Raptor without them and you're outside alignment spec: the steering wanders, the tyres scrub, and the factory ball joint works past the arc it was designed for.

HD Clevis Steering Kit

Billet clevis mounts that reinforce the Raptor's factory front steering connection. Sharper on-centre feel at highway speed, and the weak link that shows up on 35s, loaded, across corrugations is gone.

1.5" Lift Rear Spacers

Fitted with the rear strut disassembled, same as the front. The 1.5" rear lift holds more of the factory rake than the 1" option, so there's height in reserve for weight over the rear axle. Load up a canopy, drawer system or camping gear and the Raptor settles to level rather than tail-down. If your tub is empty most of the time, the 2"/1" kit sits flatter and is the better pick.

Are strut spacers a band-aid on the Next Gen Ranger Raptor?

No. On this platform, a properly machined strut spacer is the right way to lift it. The reason comes down to how the factory shocks are tuned.

Ford fits the Next Gen Raptor with FOX 2.5" Live Valve internal bypass struts. Their bypass zones, damping curve and Live Valve control logic are all calibrated around where the piston sits in its travel at factory ride height, spring rate and preload. Change any of those and the shock is working outside its tune.

  • Swap to a taller or stiffer spring and you change both rate and static height. The piston moves out of its tuned zone, the ride goes harsh, and you've undone the most expensive part of the truck.
  • Wind on a preload collar and the lift comes from squeezing the spring harder. Droop travel disappears and the piston still ends up in the wrong place.
  • Fit a strut spacer and the whole assembly moves as one unit. Rate, preload, bypass position and damping curve all stay where Ford and FOX put them — the body just rides 2" higher above it.

What you're paying for is clearance at full bump, not a number on a tape measure. It's the space a 35" tyre needs so it doesn't stuff into the guard liner when the front end loads up.

Fitment and tyres

Can I run 35s on a Next Gen Ranger Raptor with this kit? Yes. 34" to 35" tyres go on with minimal trimming — how much depends on your wheel width and offset.

Do 315/70R17s fit on the factory Raptor wheels? No. At roughly 34.4", a 315/70R17 needs the lift and a wheel with a better-suited offset to clear both the guard and the UCA. One without the other won't get you there.

Stock rubber on the Next Gen Raptor is a 285/70R17, about 33". This kit is how you step past it properly.

Frequently asked questions

What lift height does this kit run?

2" at the front and 1.5" at the rear. Compared with our 2"/1" kit, the extra half-inch of rear lift keeps more rake: the Raptor sits slightly rear-high when empty, then settles level once weight goes in the tub.

Is a wheel alignment needed after fitting?

Yes. Lifting the front moves caster and camber. The billet UCAs are adjustable specifically so your alignment shop can pull both back into spec.

Are UCAs really necessary for a 2" lift?

On the Next Gen Raptor, yes. Skip them and you're outside factory alignment spec, you lose caster — the setting that keeps the truck tracking straight at 110km/h — and the factory ball joint runs at an angle it wasn't built for. Lifting without UCAs is the real band-aid.

Will it affect the FOX Live Valve system?

No. Nothing inside the struts is touched — no re-valve, no re-spring. The spacers relocate the assembly, so the Live Valve tune, bypass zones and damping curve stay exactly as they left the factory.

Does it fit US-market Ranger Raptors?

Yes — every 2022+ Next Gen Ranger Raptor, including USA, UK, Middle East and South African models. We ship worldwide with DHL, FedEx and Australia Post, and Raptors in the States get G.O.A.T parts every week.

Is this lift legal in Australia?

Every component is engineered to meet or exceed VSB14 and ADR requirements. Allowable total lift — suspension and tyre size combined — varies by state, so check your state's rules against your whole build.

Can I install it myself?

Front and rear struts both need to be pulled apart to fit the spacers, which means a spring compressor and the experience to use it safely. Not set up for that? Book in — install instructions are on our site, and our workshop and dealer network fit these every week.

Is the kit better value than buying the parts separately?

Yes. It costs less than the four components bought individually, ships as one order, and means one workshop visit and one alignment instead of three. Every part in the box is engineered to work together at this lift height.

Does the kit change towing capacity or payload?

No — rated GVM stays the same. If you're running heavy enough that the 1.5" rear lift appeals, you may want more capacity too: G.O.A.T built Australia's first ADR-approved GVM upgrade for the Next Gen Ranger Raptor, taking it from 3,130kg to 3,490kg.

Should I get the 2"/1" or the 2"/1.5" Ultimate Kit?

Same front lift, same UCAs, same steering — only the rear lift changes. Go 2"/1" if your tub is mostly empty and you want the Raptor sitting flatter day to day. Go 2"/1.5" if you run a canopy, drawers or a tub rack, or you tow and travel loaded most of the time — the extra rear height gets taken up by the load.
